Closed 16 Mar 2015

Opened 12 Jan 2015

Overview

In January 2015, the European Investment Bank (EIB) launched a public consultation as part of a  review on its approach to supporting climate action.

As a result of this review, the EIB’s Board of Directors adopted on 22nd September 2015 the EIB Climate Strategy - Mobilising finance for the transition to a low-carbon and climate-resilient economy

The EIB Climate Strategy builds on existing policies and initiatives and refers to other documents, such as EIB sector policies, public statements and methodology descriptions where appropriate. It presents a forward looking statement describing the Bank’s future direction and developments of its climate action.
